A very well maintained example of an Achilles 9m. Built by Butler Mouldings, Swansea, in 1977, she is a comfortable cruising boat with an extensive inventory. She has benefitted from a regular maintenance programme in the current ownership and is in excellent condition.

Maintenance history
1993/4: All running rigging replaced.
1997: Engine replaced by Marine Power, Hamble.
1998: Slack rudder bearings repaired by Marine Power, Hamble.
1998: Respray
2003: Keel dropped and keelbolts inspected.

Deck gear: Stainless steel pulpit, pushpit and stanchions. Plastimo roller reefing; roller genoa - McWilliams (1995), serviced 2010. Anchor: 30m 8mm chain (2006).
Sobstad cruising chute - only used once. Proctor mast and boom.
Main and genoa halyard winches. Mainsail - McWilliams (1995), serviced 2008. Grey sailcover. Tinted windows (2005/6). 10w solar panel.
Grey cockpit hood (serviced and reproofed 2009). Instrument console, Autohelm speed and wind and echosounder (c1994). Two Contest 101 compasses. Mooring ropes in cockpit locker. Open cockpit lockers. Vetus flexible diesel tank in cockpit locker with separate fuel cans, deck brushes, etc. Grey Avon Redcrest dinghy in purpose built locker in cockpit.
Two ventilated gas lockers. Large stern locker with two access lids for fenders, etc. Adjustable backstay.

Engine: Yanmar 2GM. Fitted by Marine Power, Hamble, in 1997.

Accommodation: Fo'c's'e with sporting double berth. Vetus 100 litre water under starboard side (new 2008). Reading light, forehatch. Locker under port berth. Door to fo'c's'le.
Port side: Lavac with sliding washbasin above, tap and drain. Light above. Henderson bilge pump behind Lavac.
Starboard side: Hanging locker with boot storage under.
Main cabin: finished in teak (except ceiling).
Three reading lights and fluorescent centre light.
Starboard side: full-length berth/seat with lockers below, behind and above.
Oak table with two folding flaps - seats six.
Port side: Full-length berth/seat, which folds out to form a small double. Lockers below, behind and above.
Two burner gas cooker with grill and oven. Saucepan, etc, storage under. Locker above for plates, cups, etc. Athwartships: galley with double sinks, draining board, powered cool box and drawers and lockers under. Lights above sink, coolbox and cooker.
Navigators seat facing aft. Access to master switch panel for lights, etc.
Chart table with overhead light. Takes folded Admiralty charts with stowage under.
Lockers for personal gear and Autohelm 1000 are to hand.
Main battery under navigators seat - Rolls Marine 108AH (2006).
Starter battery - Exide 75AH (2005) in footwell. Navigators seat can be converted into spacious single berth with lockers outside and underneath.
