Iolanthe-port-side-afloat

A unique opportunity to purchase a well-known Blackwater Sloop. Built by Dan Webb & Feasey in 1937, Iolanthe was once owned and written about extensively by yachting journalist Francis B Cooke. An excellent example of a 2 1/2-ton Blackwater Sloop, she is built of 5/8in pitch pine planking on oak, and has a teak cockpit and coamings. Rigged as a gaff sloop, with a sail area of 193sqft, she handles extremely well and is a good boat for weekend and coastal cruising.
Accommodation comprises 2 berths in the saloon, galley and good stowage. She also has a Yanmar 1GM inboard diesel.
Well maintained over the years, with a well documented history courtesy of Francis B Cooke, she is a good looking boat in an excellent condition.
